Note: With this recipe the amount of the different ingredients can vary, depending on how coarse your semolina is.
Ingredients
2 Glasses of water
4 Spoons of brown sugar
1 Spoon of honey
1 Teaspoon of butter
1 Glas of fine semolina
Ground ginger
Ground cloves
Ground cinnamon
1 Spoon Crushed almonds
1 Spoon Raisins or Sultanas
Ground almonds
Preparation
Dissolve brown sugar and honey in some water. Melt butter in a pan and add semolina. Stir mixture. Add ground ginger, cloves and cinnamon. Add water mixture and stir. You should be getting a sticky dough-like mixture that forms a huge ball. If the mixture is too liquidish, add some more simolina. If it is too dry, add some more water. Add crushed almonds and raisins/sultanas.
Cool mixture a bit. Form little balls. Roll balls in ground almonds.
